Roy Huggins and the team at Person-Centered Tech offer a wealth of information related to all things technology and HIPAA. There are product reviews, CE trainings and plenty of free articles on everything from texting securely with clients to how to evaluate the technology risk in your practice.
EHR (Electronic Health Records)
Rob Reinhardt over at Tame Your Practice has complete EHR reviews on basically every EHR in existence! He also offers private consultations (at a very reasonable price) in case you are having difficulty deciding which EHR is the best for you.
This is a blog post I wrote that goes in depth specifically about notes and some EHRs. My review is not nearly as complete as the reviews Rob provides but I provide my own take.
PRACTICE PLANNING & TRANSITIONS
Do you need a Professional Will or want help preparing your practice to sell or close? The team at Practice Legacy knows what they're doing and is uniquely equipped to help with these difficult but necessary issues.
SUBPOENAS & COURT LETTERS
My friend Nicol Stolar-Peterson, LCSW BCD is an expert witness and child custody evaluator. She offers a fabulous workbook that prepares you for court, as well as a cut and paste Court Policy you can add to your paperwork packet.
A monthly membership that offers ongoing CE trainings, ethics workshops, office hours with Maelisa and a supportive community where you can get encouragement and practical strategies for improving your documentation.
A one hour recorded webinar with myself and Roy Huggins, LPC NCC where we talk about everything informed consent- what to include, how to talk with clients and how to spend less time on the paperwork part of it.
THERAPIST BUSINESS CONSULTING
The Business School Bootcamp is the very first online course I purchased and it literally changed my life. The resources and the community inside Bootcamp last far beyond the course and although it is only open for enrollment once a year, Kelly and Miranda also have many free resources for marketing your private practice that are available year round.
Samara Stone provides coaching for therapists and counselors who prefer to focus on building an insurance based practice. She has a very successful group practice and provides invaluable tips for how to create a profitable practice that actually incorporates insurance billing.
Katie is a friend and fabulous therapist. She also offers great Career Consulting for therapists starting out in private practice and looking to build their community.
