CYA for Therapists ONLINE

Get ready for one of the most engaging legal and ethical workshops you'll ever attend! And get your law and ethics CE's out of the way, too ;)

In this day-long workshop you'll learn the practical skills you need to cover yourself and your practice, legally and ethically. And don't worry, this isn't us talking "at" you... we'll be having lively discussion and allow plenty of time for honest questions and practice of the skills we've reviewed.

In just six hours you'll learn:

  • Exactly what forms you need for private practice and why
  • How to write treatment plans that you'll actually use
  • Strategies for writing better notes while spending less time writing them
  • How to respond to subpoenas and interact with attorneys
  • What mandated reporting means for you as a private practice clinician
  • How to get paid if you're required to go to court

This isn't your typical law and ethics workshop where you leave terrified and feeling like you need to change everything you've been doing. Nicol and Maelisa will offer a very supportive environment for you to ask questions and actually apply what you'll be learning without any judgment. They'll also make you laugh a little bit.

You'll earn six (6) law and ethics CE's approved by NBCC.

Time:

9am-4pm Pacific Time (lunch on your own from 12-1pm)

Location:

Online... in your living room, your office, any place you want!

Meaningful Clinical Documentation Online Workshop

We'll be covering a LOT of ground in this workshop! We're doing a "documentation overview" so we'll be reviewing everything you need for your client files but not going super in-depth (because, obviously, we only have two hours!).

Here's what you'll learn at the workshop:

  • What goes in a client record and WHY
  • Common misconceptions and mistakes related to HIPAA
  • Practical (and easy to implement) instruction on how to revise your forms so they make sense to you AND your clients
  • What the heck "medical necessity" means and why it matters if you contract with insurance... or even if you just provide a super bill
  • How to create goals that actually matter to your clients and identify how to follow up or revise goals throughout treatment
  • Realistic strategies and templates for writing better (and more meaningful) notes

You'll also get an intake assessment template and a packet of six treatment plans that you can start using with clients right away!

You'll get to watch me use the templates live on the workshop and we'll review how you can personalize these to create more meaning with your documentation.

I'll also be writing notes in real time... it's going to be a blast!

We'll have plenty of time for Q&A. If you've attended any of my webinars you know I like interaction and answer questions throughout, so you won't be sitting there anxiously awaiting your opportunity. But we will be moving through our topics fairly quickly so I'll stick around at the end for anyone who wants to go a little more in-depth.

Can't attend live? No worries!

Everyone who registers will receive the replay the following day. That means you can watch it anytime you choose or watch it again months later when you have a question or need a refresher.

This program qualifies for 2 continuing education credits approved by NBCC.

Space is limited to 60 spots so you can have plenty of time for questions and discussion.

So how does this work? Just submit your payment, receive confirmation, and a couple days before the workshop you'll receive info to log in to the webinar. On the day of, sit at your computer and sign in! You can even enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine while we meet since you can attend from the comfort of your own home.

You'll receive an email the morning of the webinar with a link to download the forms that come as a bonus.

If you can't attend live, simply click the link to watch the recording whenever you are able. The recording will be sent the morning after the webinar.

Afraid of the technology? It's pretty easy. I use a software called AnyMeeting. You'll just click a link from my email directions, download the software (or app) and voila... attendance! If you've attended one of my webinars in the past, you're already set to go.

One note: AnyMeeting does not tend to work well with Safari so if you're using a Mac (like I do) then I recommend using Chrome.

Click here to register. Space is limited.
