Notes are confusing!

Most mental health clinicians learn about documentation through trial and error in everyday practice. Requirements for progress notes are often unclear, leading to confusion and overwhelm.

Add in changing laws and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), and notes become even more complex!

This workshop guides you through the what, how and why of writing progress notes as a mental health clinician.

Ethics and common state laws will guide the foundation of this workshop, but you will also gain practical skills you can implement immediately.

Come prepared to interact and realize that everyone else has the same embarrassing questions because this workshop is not just a lecture!

You will practice strategies for improving progress notes, evaluate real-life ethical conflicts, and leave with an actionable plan that instills confidence in your documentation.

And since you can get 3 CE credits for this webinar,

Here are the official learning objectives:

I'm Dr. Maelisa McCaffrey and I’ve worked in a huge variety of clinical settings. That's why I know that clinical documentation can't be just one way - and that's what makes it so confusing!

I also have ADHD and know what it’s like to be that clinician who can’t manage time well and needs some extra help.

All of my trainings are created with you in mind - the therapist who just needs a little direction in getting started with the paperwork side of things.

What people are saying about Maelisa's trainings:

Thank you Maelisa and QA Prep for giving me organization and confidence with my documentation – I highly recommend your courses to all of my colleagues!

Maelisa, I’m incredibly grateful to you for creating this course. How I think about documentation has fundamentally changed since knowing you and working on this course (and I haven’t even gotten all the way through it yet!), making my documentation easier both to do and to teach to my supervisee.
